Pilgrims Celebrate Outdoor Dawn Mass Instead of Basilica Liturgy at Covadonga: At dawn today, pilgrims of the sixth Our Lady of Christendom Pilgrimage in Spain celebrated a traditional outdoor Mass at their campsite in Sevares, Asturias. The Mass was not allowed in the Basilica of Covadonga. After Mass, the pilgrims continued on foot to Covadonga, where they concluded with prayer and the singing of the Te Deum before the Blessed Sacrament. The three-day pilgrimage, held from 25–27 July, covered nearly 100 kilometers from Oviedo to Covadonga and drew more than 1,700 participants.

That's what you call a follower. Always wants to be part of the crowd and fit in. With a weak mind who can't think, for themselves and to avoid problems with them. That's a real pity. The only time you would ever see me following anyone was when I couldn't talk my friends out of something. So I would go to watch over them to try and stop any problems or protecting them. A friend of over 60 years just mentioned that to me last night in an email.
Spain's "Chartres Pilgrimage" Reaches Record Participation: Yesterday, an open-air Mass in the Roman Rite honoring St. James the Apostle, Patron of Spain, was celebrated at El Remedio (Asturias) on the first day of the Oviedo–Covadonga Pilgrimage. The event is the sixth edition of the Spanish Nuestra Señora de la Cristiandad pilgrimage ("Chartres in Spain"), from July 25 to 27. This year's pilgrimage brings together 40 chapters (29 from Spain and 11 international), around 50 priests, and more than 1,700 faithful, setting a new participation record.

Mother Miriam has done a complete 180 on the SSPX: "God has established His Church, his universe, everything on obedience, everything on obedience. Children are to obey their parents, not if their parents are holy and right, in everything but sin. Wives are to submit to their husbands, not because they're holy, not because they're right, but because God has given them that position — again, in everything but sin. Religious are to obey their superiors, whether their superior is right or holier than them, or no matter what it is, they are to obey in everything. And Christ's sheep, which is us, every one of us is to obey the successor of Peter, whether we know for sure he is, whether we agree with him, whether we can point out definite heresy. If he's the Pope, then we obey in everything but sin. We don't come against him. So that's where I left it yesterday, and my heart was completely converted."
Patrick Buisson, the former adviser to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, named the Fraternity of Saint Vincent Ferrier as the universal beneficiary of his estate in a will drafted in March 2021, reports LeMonde.fr on July 4. The community follows the traditional Dominican rite. Buisson died on December 26, 2023, at age 74. He bequeathed not only his personal assets but also a substantial collection of political archives, including manuscripts, notebooks, correspondence, digital files and recordings from his years at the Élysée Palace. Archives relating to Sarkozy's presidency - including Buisson's secret recordings made between 2007 and 2012 - are at the center of an ongoing dispute. Buisson's son, Georges, has challenged the will and argues the archives are of public interest and should go to the French National Archives. There is an agreement in principle that the presidential archives will go to the National Archives, but the inheritance litigation continues. Founded in 1979 …Sateruse
Leo XIV Promoted This Hopping, Dancing Bishop in Mexico: In January 2026, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Trinidad Antonio Márquez Guerrero, 60, as auxiliary bishop of San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico. He was consecrated a bishop on May 8. On Sunday, July 19, he celebrated a Eucharist during the diocesan Youth Day in the bullring in Yahualica, attended by some 1,300 young people. Still wearing his mitre and liturgical vestments, he started hopping and dancing around like an overexcited young person.

After two years of diocesan vacancy, on 22 July, Bishop José Guadalupe Torres Campos, 66, was installed as the third Bishop of Ecatepec, Mexico. The diocese has 1.5 million Catholics and around 100 parishes. A native of León, Guanajuato, Torres Campos was until then the Bishop of Ciudad Juárez and has ministered along Mexico’s northern border for the last eleven years. Many pictures on the internet show him in civilian clothes. Leo XIV has appointed a vocal advocate of immigration and a pastoral ideologue of "closeness2 and "acocompaniment". Bishop Torres became known for his focus on migrants, including celebrating liturgical abuses in the middle of the Rio Grande border river. He was also committed to social outreach. During the installation, Bishop Torres described the “synodal” style of ministry he will represent: "I come with the sincere desire to listen before speaking, to understand before deciding, and to love before asking. I want to be a bishop who is close to the people, a …Sateruse
Muslims don’t take over and block streets to pray in Qatar, Dubai or even Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam. It’s illegal and considered disruptive. They only do it in the West to assert dominance.
A Papal Handshake, a Cathedral Fire, and a Murder: On July 4 in Lampedusa, Leo XIV shook the hands of 20 illegal immigrants who had just arrived in Europe. He reminded everyone that all human life carries immeasurable worth. One of his predecessor’s handshakes later took on a dark meaning. In 2016, Pope Francis shook hands with Rwandan national Emmanuel Abayisenga. In 2020, Abayisenga set fire to the 15th-century Nantes cathedral in France. In 2021, he murdered the priest who had taken him in and sheltered him after the fire.
Papst Leo schüttelte bei seinem Besuch auf Lampedusa am 4. Juli jedem dieser 20 Migranten, die gerade in Europa angekommen waren, die Hand.

James Martin SJ Wants the Church to Ordain [More] Homosexual Priests: Homosexual activist Fr James Martin SJ has called on Pope Leo XIV to remove the – largely unenforced – restrictions against "celibate homosexuals" to become priests. Fr Martin believes that "sexual orientation" alone should not stop a man from being ordained. He points to Pope Francis, who said there are already many "holy, healthy and celibate" homosexual priests. However, in 2005 Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger concluded that men with deep-seated homosexual temptations should not enter the seminary because they lack the emotional maturity needed for lifelong celibacy.
"FSSPX Confessions Are Valid" - Müller Contradicts Tucho: On July 6, K-TV asked Cardinal Gerhard Müller whether confessions heard by priests of the Priestly Society of Saint Pius X are valid or invalid. Contrary to Cardinal Tucho Fernández, he replied: "The confessions are valid, but illicit. The power to forgive or retain sins is conferred through the sacrament of Holy Orders. Its exercise can only be restricted by the bishop or the Pope, as provided by canon law."

Today, Fr Michael Mary, superior of the sedevacantist Transalpine Redemptorists in Scotland, will be consecrated as an alleged bishop. Katholisch.de traced the long and tangled succession lines of schismatic bishops, focusing primarily on the lines of Marcel Lefebvre (1905-1991) and Pierre Martin Ngô Đình Thục (1897–1984). Here are the key points:. Lefebvre line (FSSPX) Among the different splinter groups, only the SSPX has significant size. In 1988, Lefebvre consecrated Alfonso de Galarreta, Bernard Fellay, Bernard Tissier de Mallerais, and Richard Williamson as bishops. All four later consecrated additional bishops. In 1991, Tissier de Mallerais consecrated Licínio Rangel for the Priestly Union of St. John Mary Vianney, Brazil. Rangel and his community reconciled with Rome in 2002 and became an Apostolic Personal Administration. The same year Fernando Arêas Rifan became Rangel's coadjutor, but he was consecrated by Cardinal Darío Castrillón Hoyos, with Rangel serving only as co-…Sateruse
I used to wonder how the consecration requested by Our Lady of Fatima, in unison with all the Bishops of the world could ever take place since bishops are all over the place with their beliefs. Then I realized as these bishops ascend to heresy, they are no longer bishops so it may end up being some sede, bishops, SSPX and a few good sons of the church left in the NO. There is the manageable number.
