(LifeSiteNews) — Detroit Archbishop Edward Weisenburger has said that “sins against creation are among the very serious sins.”
During a synodal “listening session” on the environment at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit on September 30, Weisenburger delivered the opening remarks, in which he called on Catholics to “cooperate with creation.”
According to the Detroit Catholic, he criticized the Trump administration for cutting tax incentives for U.S.-made electric vehicles, implying that gas-powered cars would damage creation. He said that Catholics must follow Pope Leo XIV and Pope Francis in emphasizing the environment and creation.

Why has Austria, which was a more Catholic nation than Germany, become so very liberal? Germany is heretical, but Austria seems to be diabolical.
00:07Virginia could make abortion a “constitutional right.” Question 1 would allow abortion up to birth. This is what a baby looks like in the third trimester. This child is not a body part. He or she is not a clump of cells. This child is a unique and valuable human being worthy of protection. Vote NO.
You Virginians voted in that horrible lady for a governor and look what has occurred in the once fine commonwealth.
Two Bishops From Amoris Laetitia Summit Ask To See “What Is Good” In Cohabiting Couples
The two speakers at the session dedicated to young people and marriage at the meeting convened by Leo XIV for the tenth anniversary of Amoris laetitia asked the bishops gathered in the Vatican this Friday to accompany couples who live together without being married and to ask themselves “what is good” in their relationships. The Archbishop of Perth, the Salesian Timothy Costelloe, and the auxiliary bishop of Bombay, Stephen Fernandes, developed the second of the five thematic cores of the meeting, “Young people and the discovery of the vocation to marriage,” before the presidents of the episcopal conferences and the heads of the Eastern Catholic Churches.
The day was opened by Cardinal Kevin Farrell, prefect of the Dicastery for the Laity, the Family and Life, with a starting diagnosis: the number of marriages, both civil and religious, is decreasing worldwide. Farrell noted that the issue also …complicitclergy.com
Nothing is good about it. It goes against the 10m Commandments and there are no graces given to the couple because they are in the state of mortal sin.
Prove him wrong.
I was not present, but I do not think Castro, Hitler or Tito had any remorse about leaving the Catholic Church when they died.
Leo calls them false and then turns it around with a beautiful lie, he washes his hands like Pilate did.
False religions are false and fake. A phony or counter fit dollar bill has no value whatsoever. The same thing is true about false and pseudo fake religions.
00:42Card. Pablo Virgilio Siongco David (Philippines) at the Vatican Amoris laetitia summit, today:
"To discern concrete situations rather than begin with classifications, to accompany gradual growth, and to trust that grace can already be at work even in lives and relationships marked by weakness and incompleteness.”
How to understand Amoris Laetitia: “Not simply to ask how close families are to the ideal, but also how close the Church is willing to come to families in their actual struggles.”
The laity MUST conform to the Church's laws. Otherwise, there are no absolutes, and everything is believed and condoned.
Archdiocese of Toronto: make Catholic schools a priority
Here we are as parents face another Ontario Municipal Election come Monday, October 26. The Archdiocese of Toronto has provided little or no guidance about electing good Catholic trustees. If we care about who governs separate schools and who will protect Catholic education, then the trustee election should be a priority.
The diocesan newspaper The Catholic Register is more concerned communicating to the faithful that fewer Latin Masses will celebrated, than providing coverage and leadership about the election of faithful Catholic trustees in the province. Parents must wonder whether the diocese truly believes in promoting and protecting Catholic education in Ontario. Their actions certainly don't show it.
The are only four churches in the diocese celebrating the Latin Mass: Holy Family, St. Vincent de Paul in Toronto, St. Lawrence Martyr in Scarborough and St. Patrick’s in Schomberg. So, why not let the parishes continue offering …everydayforlifecanada.blogspot.com
In order for them to be a priority, the TRUE faith must be taught, which covers faith and morals. If lies or half-truths are taught as Gospel, there will be serious problems.
Inclusion of adulterers and “persons identifying as LGBTQ” called for at the current Vatican meeting on Amoris Laetitia.
American Catholic moral theologian Prof. Julie Hanlon Rubio addressed the Vatican’s meeting marking the tenth anniversary of Amoris Laetitia on October 12.
Rubio recounted the case of an elderly woman with dementia who refused Communion because her husband had previously been married. The woman, she said, remembered that “she was not worthy to receive the Body of Christ.” Rubio presented the story as evidence that feelings of exclusion persist.
She also quoted Francis’s assertion that “the fact that … love [!] is imperfect doesn’t mean it’s false or unreal,” adding that human fragility is “not a problem to be solved but a fundamental element of our humanity to be integrated.”
Rubio again cited Francis: “No one can be condemned forever! It is not the logic of the Gospel!”
She said “this principle” should apply to “everyone.”
In a footnote, she specified whom she believed …
You exclude yourself when you refuse to follow the laws of the Church concerning marriage. In other words, you only have YOURSELF to blame.
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving (today).
Our Thanksgiving was begun in the 1790's by George Washington. Oktoberfest did not come about until 1810. But in England, up until the Reformation, there was a day set aside to thank God for His blessings.
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving (today).
I personally believe America's thanksgiving should also be on this date, because Oktoberfest is happening, and that commemorates thanking God for a fine harvest.

Rev. Juan Antonio Plaza Oña and his concelebrants celebrated Mass at a table, wearing civilian clothes and stoles during a parish assembly at San Pablo Parish in Almería, Spain, on May 17, 2026. The photographs were published on the parish’s Facebook page. Plaza Oña was appointed diocesan Vicar for Pastoral Care and Evangelization in July. On October 8, El Confidencial Digital reported that complaints about the liturgical abuse were being submitted to the Vatican’s Dicastery for Divine Worship.

This was not a sacrifice, but a sacrilege, God is not impressed with this.
US Bishop prohibits celebration facing the Lord (ad orientem).
On October 2, Bishop Jeffrey Walsh, 60, of Gaylord, Michigan, issued a decree restricting the celebration of the Mass towards the Lord. It takes effect on October 15.
Under the new rules, all Sunday and holy day Masses must be read - like a talk or show - facing the people.
On weekdays, no more than two Masses per parish may be celebrated ad orientem, and only after consultation with the parish council and appropriate catechesis.
Weddings, funerals, and other Masses with congregations must also be celebrated facing the people.
Masses according to the 1962 Missal are exempt.
The bishop invokes paragraph 299 of the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM), claiming it favors celebration versus populum.
However, the text of GIRM 299 does NOT require Mass to be celebrated facing the people. It recommends a freestanding altar that can be walked around to incense it with a thurible and permits celebration versus populum. It …
In the past 15 years, countless parishes have been closed, and the Catholic faith is in a freefall. While the numbers of priests have declined, the bureaucracy in the parishes has greatly exploded. The Church is dying but it is also going underground.
Leo XIV appoints another
Bishop for England. He defended a homosexual Eucharist.
Today, Pope Leo XIV appointed Bishop Timothy Menezes, 56, as the Bishop of Brentwood, succeeding Bishop Alan Williams, 75.
Menezes has served as Auxiliary Bishop of Birmingham since his episcopal consecration in July 2024. As such, he defended the periodic homosexual Eucharists at St Patrick's parish in Coventry. The homosexual group there emerged from the Synodal process.
Menezes wrote a June 1, 2025 statement about the "LGBTQ+ Vigil Welcome Mass" on May 10, 2025 : “In my conversations with some members of the group, they find attending Mass in a parish difficult against the backdrop of what they sometimes see to be a Church that does not accept them. This means that they find a Mass at which they know that they are accepted, which is a first step to hopefully full integration in our parish communities.”
Notably, Bishop Menezes commented in support of the homosex Eucharist although Coventry was not within …
God will not be mocked. All will be well in the end, but we must pray, fast and do penance for these abominations.
