Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of 's-Hertogenbosch wrote on August 13 an open letter to Leo XIV. Main phrases. - Does the synodal process actually help bring souls closer to Christ and to eternal salvation? […] What has all this actually yielded? Not: how many meetings were organized? Not: how many reports were written? Not: how many people participated? But: has faith become stronger? Has Christ been proclaimed more clearly? - When one asks such questions, it is impossible to consider the Synod a success. - What once began as a 2021–2024 synod threatens to become a permanent form of governance. - The classical synod was a means. In contemporary synodal discourse, synodality threatens to become an end in itself. - The Church is not a conversation but a received reality. For the Church does not begin with our dialogue. It begins with Christ. - Christ did not set up a discussion group. He called apostles. He gave them authority. He sent them out to proclaim, baptize, and teach. - Truth is …Ossotina
Bishop Vicente de Paula Ferreira, 55, of Livramento de Nossa Senhora in Bahia, Brazil, criticized the consecration of dioceses to St. Michael the Archangel. In an August 8 social-media post, Bishop Ferreira wrote: “Are there theological justifications for consecration to St. Michael? One consecrates oneself to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Isn’t the devil that is being fought rather imaginary? The greater exorcism should be of homophobia, femicide, racism, crimes against Indigenous peoples — of this legion of evils.” Ferreira’s comments came as dioceses across Brazil have been participating in “The Great Reconquest,” an initiative promoted by the Hesed Institute centered on devotion and consecration to St. Michael. According to ACI Digital, 34 Brazilian dioceses had been consecrated to St. Michael by August 11. #newsJjefxvmkpq
When a 'bishop' humiliates the Archangel Defender of God's Honor and is a supporter of the sin of Sodom, it means he is on the side of the fallen angels.
What the Hell Happened to Tucker Carlson? Maybe nothing happened to him. Maybe the fraud finally became impossible to ignore. By Mars Lewis August 14, 2026 Some men abandon a cause. Others remain until their presence itself proves they never believed it. That is my position on Tucker Carlson. For years conservatives watched him and believed they were seeing conviction. They were watching one of the most accomplished political performers of the era. At Fox the apparatus was complete. Platform, money, legal protection, production, distribution, and a prime-time hour that converted anger into ratings and ratings into influence. He operated as the quiet destroyer of liberal pretension. The schoolboy squint. The measured voice that still left opponents in fragments. Millions trusted him because he said what the rest of television would not say. Censorship. Institutional corruption. The intelligence services. The open disdain the governing class directed at ordinary Americans. He was frequently …Ossotina
On August 13, Leo XIV appointed Umberto Longo, Director of the Italian Historical Institute for the Middle Ages in Rome and Professor of Medieval History at the secular Sapienza University of Rome, as a member of the Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences. The online footprint of Umberto Longo repeatedly places that name - and, in later cases, an identifiable Professor Longo - within the institutional environment of Italian Freemasonry and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. The examples span a decade. 2013 - Scottish Rite, Lazio: The Masonic publication LOGOS identifies a certain “Fr. Oratore Umberto Longo 4°” as an officer of the Loggia di Perfezione Maestri Segreti “Giano” in Rome. The publication introduces a series of texts under the heading: “Le Tavole del Fr. Oratore Umberto Longo 4°.” The abbreviation Fr. is used throughout for Fratello - “Brother” - while the number identifies the Scottish Rite degree. More importantly, the issue contains the official 2013 officers …Ossotina
So, did Leo XIV appoint a Freemason? There is strong documentary evidence that a Roman man named Umberto Longo occupied Masonic positions in 2013–2014. There is unquestionable evidence that Professor Umberto Longo subsequently participated in events (2019, 2022) connected to major Italian Masonic institutions.

The Archdiocese of Utrecht has rejected as false rumours that Cardinal Willem Eijk, 73, could have asked Pope Leo XIV during an audience on Monday to accept his early resignation as Archbishop. “These reports are false. He has not offered his resignation,” the archdiocese told the Dutch newspaper Katholiek Nieuwsblad on Wednesday. An archdiocesan spokesman added that there was no basis for such speculation. The audience attracted attention because Eijk has experienced health problems in recent months and didn't attend the consistories in January and June. The archdiocese also provided an update on the cardinal’s health. “It is known that Cardinal Eijk struggled with health problems last winter,” the spokesman said. His recovery had taken longer than initially hoped, but was now progressing well. According to the archdiocese, Eijk is expected to resume his duties fully on September 1. #newsKxqihmxlwe
Priest Remains at Altar as Earthquake Shakes Bogotá Chapel: A priest remained at the altar as an earthquake struck during the Consecration at a Mass in the Roman rite at the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bogotá on August 10. The altar server and congregation also remained in place as the church and hanging lamps shook. The Mass continued throughout the tremor.
This is how the priest and faithful attending the Traditional Latin Mass reacted when an earthquake struck in the midst of the Consecration. The footage was recorded at the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bogotá.
I remember seeing a army chaplin in WW2 reading mass while a huge artillary bombardment was going on all around him. They said once the consecration has started it can't be stopped until complete. It looks like this priest was in the middle of the consecration.
Question: Based on all going issues since Benedict XVI resigned from ministerium and not from munus, how one can consider Bergoglio and Prevost were/are true popes? Canon 332 §2 of the 1983 Code states plainly: Si contingat ut Romanus Pontifex muneri suo renuntiet, ad validitatem requiritur ut renuntiatio libere fiat et rite manifestetur, non vero ut a quopiam acceptetur. "If it happens that the Roman Pontiff resigns his munus, it is required for validity that the resignation be freely made and properly manifested, but it is not necessary that it be accepted by anyone." The canon uses munus — not ministerium, not officium, not any other term. Munus in the canonical tradition carries the weight of the office itself: the ontological reality, the gift-and-burden of the Petrine charge, not merely its active exercise. On February 11, 2013, Benedict XVI declared in Latin: ...declaro me ministerio Episcopi Romae, Successoris Sancti Petri, mihi per manus Cardinalium die 19 aprilis MMV …Ossotina
“Globalism has already failed to meet the needs of the people. It serves only the financial elite,” Marian Eleganti, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Chur, told LaNuovaBq on August 13. On Muslim immigration, he said: “Personally, I am convinced that Islam cannot be integrated into our political systems shaped by Christianity. There is no apolitical Islam, consisting purely of an interior religious life. It is a system of domination. The more convinced its followers are of this, the less integrable it is. The result is parallel societies.” He also criticized the Church’s approach to unlimited immigration: “The Catholic Church should not adopt an idealistic approach… [that] ignores the very real social problems associated with unlimited immigration.”
Today, Bishop Emeritus Christopher Saunders, 76, of Broome was convicted of 13 homosexual offences against two young Indigenous men in Western Australia. A jury in the District Court of Western Australia found Saunders guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual penetration without consent. The jury acquitted him on six other charges. The offences for which Saunders was convicted occurred between 2008 and 2019, while he was serving as Bishop of Broome. Saunders was also convicted of offences against a second man, including sexual penetration without consent. The jury deliberated for approximately seven hours before returning the verdicts. Earlier in the trial, the judge instructed the jury that it was not necessary to return verdicts on seven charges and to disregard them because there was insufficient evidence to convict. Saunders pleaded not guilty to the charges and denied the allegations. He did not give evidence during the trial. He is due to face a sentencing …Ossotina
Not Disturbing the Political Powers Behind France’s Euthanasia Law? Bishop Emeritus Dominique Rey told TribuneChrétienne.com of his one regret about Leo XIV’s September 25–28 visit to France: the Pope’s “very busy program” leaves no time to visit people at the end of life or palliative care units. Yet Leo XIV’s schedule includes several other meetings, including one with survivors of clergy sexual abuse. Meanwhile, France is close to legalizing euthanasia.
Monseigneur Dominique Rey : "Nous aurions souhaité une rencontre avec des personnes en fin de vie"
Mother Miriam has done a complete 180 on the SSPX: "God has established His Church, his universe, everything on obedience, everything on obedience. Children are to obey their parents, not if their parents are holy and right, in everything but sin. Wives are to submit to their husbands, not because they're holy, not because they're right, but because God has given them that position — again, in everything but sin. Religious are to obey their superiors, whether their superior is right or holier than them, or no matter what it is, they are to obey in everything. And Christ's sheep, which is us, every one of us is to obey the successor of Peter, whether we know for sure he is, whether we agree with him, whether we can point out definite heresy. If he's the Pope, then we obey in everything but sin. We don't come against him. So that's where I left it yesterday, and my heart was completely converted."
Brigitte Stegemann was an 83-year-old great-grandmother and a Christian. On July 10, she died through Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) program in Ontario. Diagnosed with terminal Stage IV stomach cancer, Stegemann had wanted to die naturally. But while her granddaughter and longtime legal representative, Brigitte Kranendonk, was away on vacation, medical personnel discussed MAiD with Stegemann. She was subsequently deemed capable of choosing MAiD despite allegedly being unable to answer basic questions about her own family. Canadian Catholic News reported that Kranendonk said her grandmother had originally rejected MAiD but was persuaded to request it during her absence. When Kranendonk returned and asked her grandmother whether she really wanted to die, Stegemann’s reaction was heartbreaking. “I’m supposed to die on Friday? They want to kill me on Friday?”, she reportedly asked through tears. Her family says she later repeatedly expressed regret, telling them she had made a …Ossotina
Leo XIV Promoted This Hopping, Dancing Bishop in Mexico: In January 2026, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Trinidad Antonio Márquez Guerrero, 60, as auxiliary bishop of San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico. He was consecrated a bishop on May 8. On Sunday, July 19, he celebrated a Eucharist during the diocesan Youth Day in the bullring in Yahualica, attended by some 1,300 young people. Still wearing his mitre and liturgical vestments, he started hopping and dancing around like an overexcited young person.
