Head of the Margaliot settlement on how Israel treats its northern residents: "We've become cannon fodder. Second-class citizens." He says the government has done the math and it's cheaper to pay compensation if a few settlers die than to evacuate and support thousands of people.

Butorac to pripisuje problémom s lístkami a neorganizovaným radom. Krátko pred začiatkom eucharistie však bol povolený vstup bez lístkov a všetci mohli vstúpiť.

US Archbishop Defies Traditionis Custodes: Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco celebrated a Mass in the Roman Rite in the parish church of St Blaise in Zagreb, Croatia, on March 7. The occasion was a conference on Christ the King.

This event is actually not what one may think. Bishops Cordileone and Mutsaerts were initially supposed to speak at a conference in Zagreb along with some prominent voices of truth within the Church but local quasi-trad community attacked the conference with labels of "sedevacantism" and lack of loyalty towards Bergoglio/Prevost synodal sect. This sparked scandal and involvement of Zagreb archbishop. They made sure that Cordileone and Mutsaerts (or any other Croatian priest) do not attend conference critical of Bergoglio/Prevost and this is when Zagreb archbishop allowed Cordileone's TLM from this photo. So, once again TLM dispensation works as bribe to ensure loyalty to Prevost. AND now, these bishops are critical of SSPX and Schneider, Prevost's behind-the-scene network works well to shutdown and silence all orthodox opposition.

Very disturbing reports that a parish priest in southern Lebanon has been killed in an Israeli strike. Fr Pierre Al Rahi was ministering to his distressed parishioners in the village of Qlaya’a when it was attacked

Maronite priest Fr. Pierre Al-Rahi, the parish priest of Qlaya'a, a southern Lebanese village in the Marjeyoun district, has passed away today from wounds caused by the bombing that struck a civilian residential area in his parish.

Israel will surely celebrate that.

“Pope Leo XIV expresses his deep sorrow for all the victims of the recent bombings in the Middle East, for the many innocent people, including many children, and for those who were helping them, such as Father Pierre El-Rahi, a Maronite priest killed this afternoon in Qlayaa [Lebanon]. He is following events with concern and prays for an end to hostilities as soon as possible.”

Hundreds of empty seats during Leo XIV’s Easter Vigil: Matt Butorac, a Catholic pilgrimage guide, reported on X that there were “hundreds of empty seats” during the Easter Vigil at St Peter’s Basilica. The screenshots, taken from a video he shared for "those claiming it was not empty", show the basilica during the baptisms. Butorac attributes this to ticketing issues and disorganised queues. However, shortly before the Eucharist began, entry was permitted without tickets and everyone was able to enter.

@sp2 I see your point and you could be correct. The published pic on this site showed less than a dozen empty seats which were probably in the back of the church. Unfortunately, too many media-types on both sides of any issue are inclined to push a narrative rather than inform their readers.

@sp2 perhaps you should share with us the specific time-mark in the vid you posted where it contradicts the conclusion that there were “hundreds of empty seats” during the service. The posted vid appears to only capture the seating in the front of the church.

This is the priest who died on the Titanic to hear confessions and administer last rites.
Given the opportunity to board a lifeboat on two separate occasions, Father Thomas Byles firmly declined. He chose instead to stay behind, absolving sins and consoling the doomed passengers.
Following the vessel's collision with the iceberg, he assembled the remaining crowds on the aft deck.
Those who lived through the disaster recalled him standing bravely amid the panic, listening to confessions, granting collective absolution, and reciting the Rosary right up until the ocean claimed the stern.
This is the type of story we should elevate, heroic virtue. May the Lord bless us with more holy men possessing the courage of Father Thomas Byles.

The Lenten Spiritual Exercises of Leo XIV and the Roman Curia started yesterday in the Pauline Chapel of the Apostolic Palace. Bishop Erik Varden of Trondheim is delivering this year's meditations. He will give two talks each day.

Creepy. Where's the credibility for that? Can they openly talk about scandals he caused? Of course they will not, so it's going to be a lie and a theater play like with Bergoglio

I think there was also a Lithuanian priest as well as an Eastern rite priest who perished on the Titanic.

War is hell. Many people killed or seriously wounded are innocent civilians. I will pray for Father Pierre's soul. May he rest in peace.
